Many people in our community have some sort of occlusal disease! What is the disease? Occlusal disease is the “silent” disease that most people dismiss as the natural wearing and aging of teeth. Occlusal disease is a person’s inherited bite that, if not treated can damage your teeth, bone, gums, jaw joints and jaw muscles.
Signs of the “silent” disease;
- Excessive wear
- Flat teeth
- Chipped and broken teeth
- Bone loss
Symptoms of the “silent” disease
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Ear aches or plugged ears
Here at our Golden, CO Dentist, Dr. Sprout has spent a lot of time learning and working with other dentists that are very knowledgeable about the disease. We want to be able to educate patients on prevention as well as treat patients with potential damage. All of this can be done and monitored at your regular 6 month cleaning and exams.
