Many people in our community have some sort of occlusal disease! What is the disease? Occlusal disease is the “silent” disease that most people dismiss as the natural wearing and aging of teeth. Occlusal disease is a person’s inherited bite that, if not treated can damage your teeth, bone, gums, jaw joints and jaw muscles.
Signs of the “silent” disease;
- Excessive wear
- Flat teeth
- Chipped and broken teeth
- Bone loss
- Pain
Symptoms of the “silent” disease
- Headaches
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Clinching
- Grinding
- Ear aches or plugged ears
